National Careers Week 2021

2021 is an important year for both Engaging Education and National Careers Week (NCW), as we are both turning ten years old! This seemed like a great time to put a spotlight on the relationship we have with NCW, and how we support their incredible work.

NCW hosts an annual week-long campaign focusing on Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance (CEIAG). They provide free resources to education settings across the UK, aiming to highlight the links between education and employment, and to empower students to make informed decisions about their futures.

We are proud to support NCW by developing resources for educators, students, and businesses, linking the curriculum to practical skills and employment routes. We also use our expertise in digital marketing and media to promote NCW nationwide. We are now the sole creative directors of NCW, producing all resources, marketing materials, and media for the whole campaign.

The main aims of our partnership with NCW are to increase exposure and engagement with the campaign. It goes without saying that this year has presented new challenges in this area. However, we were able to work with NCW to create innovative and successful solutions – such as a Virtual Careers Fair – to deliver a high-quality campaign despite restrictions.

The numbers speak for themselves regarding the success of NCW this year. The engagement with the 2021 campaign was incredible, with over 500,000 views, 54,000 tweets, and over 65 million potential impacts. The virtual nature of the campaign also meant that we were able to work with more external organisations than ever, including BBC News, Microsoft, and the NHS.

We are excited to continue our partnership with NCW to empower positive change through careers education. You can read more about our collaboration here.
