L.E.A.D. Academy Trust: Communications and Marketing (2016 – present)

L.E.A.D. Academy Trust comprises of 25 academies across Nottingham, Derby, Lincoln, Leicester and Sheffield. Their philosophy is to lead, empower, achieve and drive. Following a period of growth, the need to implement the Trust identity, core values and external communications was critical.


  • Raise the profile of L.E.A.D. Academy Trust in targeted geographical locations.
  • Implement campaigns with individual academies and core services on a proactive and reactive basis.
  • Create and implement an innovative external and internal marketing strategy.

Our role:

  • Focusing on the creation and growth of 3 core Trust communication channels (social media/online, film/digital media, printed material).
  • Pro-actively developing and implementing campaigns.
  • Working with 18 individual academies with specific challenges and needs.

  • Increase in student roll of those entering Year 7 of 49.5% from 2017 to 2019 at the targeted academy.
  • Increase in the number of pupils selecting the academy as ‘first preference’ of 144% from 2018 to 2020.
  • Increase in channel views of 339% (2020 vs 2019) and an audience retention rate of 83% of the total film length.
  • Increase in followers across all Trust and academy social media accounts of 74% (2020 vs 2019) with an increase in clicks on social media material of 128% (2020 vs 2019).
